New album on Twilight Sky Music by multi-instrumentalist Chris Conway. Atmospheric music for dreamers.
The album takes you across stormy seas to an island away from this crazy world. A time and a place to breathe, relax, and meditate a little on the way to finding peace.
Using a host of exotic instruments, Chris Conway brings in subtle Celtic and Oriental influences, reflecting his work with Celtic band Govannen, and with Indian fusion group Re-Orient. Also featured are special guests Bridget McMahon on atmospheric vocals and Mo Coulson who adds her Celtic harp to the swirling ocean soundscape of the opening and closing tracks.
An Island Of Peace is Chris Conway's first solo New Age album since 2015's Flute Dreamer and his first solo album on the Twlight Sky Music label.
notes
1. An Island Of Peace
Leaving the crazy world, you cross the stormy seas and arrive on the shores of island. As you explore, skirting round a central mountain, the fear leaves you and you can feel your confidence growing. Eventually you walk through the undergrowth and find the shore on the opposite side.
2. The Mountain Path To Enlightenment
The island has a mountain at its centre. You walk up taking it slowly and pausing to look up at the summit, and as you progress, you look down below to where you've come from. Eventually you reach the summit and get a glimpse of enlightenment of your life inside and out.
3. Peace 1 - Inner Calm
You sit on the summit of the mountain.. You gaze at the view of the shore and across the water to the horizon. You feel a beautiful inner calm inside.
4. Peace 2 - Living In The Moment
After descending the mountain you take time to enjoy life on the island - exploring, doing new things, and enjoying the spontaneity that a peaceful mind can bring.
5. An Island Of Peace
There comes a time to leave the island, but you know at stressful times, you will hear the sound of the island and remember the peace you found there. You may eave the island, but the island never leaves you.
Chris Conway has released many new age, relaxation, albums under his own name plus in collaborations with Llewellyn, Govannen, Aramara, France Ellul, Clookai, Ajahn Achalo, and more.
